President’s Notes – December 2019

The annual Christmas Party for members and guests, to be held at the Carina PCYC on Friday 6 December, once again heralds the closing of the functions of All Gauge for the year.

Although without a clubhouse, members have rallied as usual to requirements to keep the club a going (and successful) concern.

The three Table Sales held during the year have each excelled the previous sale. Our thanks are indeed due to Ron and Alf who have ensured their increasing success.

The open day at the Yeronga Community Centre during the year was most successful. We were able to exhibit the fine HO “Midlands” layout, and an N gauge layout provided by Graeme Ross. Again the members put their backs to the wheel to mount and dismount “Midlands”. Our thanks are particularly due to Graeme for getting his layout to the show.

The regular member’s meetings have been consistently attended by a sound cohort of members, while to me, as President, the Club Committee has been a dream to work with.

It remains to me to wish all readers a safe and happy Christmas and a New Year that hopefully will bring us closer to our own Clubhouse

And a reminder to all members that the 2020 AGM will be held on Saturday 29 February.

Barry Chiswell, AGMRC President.
